The Department of Labour & Employment, Union Territory of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu, has announced a revision in the Special Allowance under the Minimum Wages Act, 1948.
As per the official declaration dated 4th November 2026, the Special Allowance has been increased by ₹12 per day with effect from 1st October 2026.
The revised minimum wages applicable to all scheduled employments are as follows:
- Unskilled: ₹513.50 per day
- Semi-Skilled: ₹524.50 per day
- Skilled: ₹534.50 per day
Employers, factories, industries, hotels and establishments operating in Daman & Diu and Dadra & Nagar Haveli should take note of the revised minimum wage rates and ensure compliance with applicable labour laws.
