The Ministry Of Labour And Employment Has Extended Employees’ State Insurance (ESI) Coverage To Specified Areas Across 31 Districts In Gujarat, Effective 1 October 2026. The Notification Covers The Entire Area Of 15 Previously Non-implemented Districts And 16 Partially Implemented Districts. From The Effective Date, Covered Establishments In These Areas Must Pay ESI Contributions Under Section 29 Of The Code On Social Security, 2020. Eligible Employees Will Also Be Entitled To Applicable Benefits Under Chapter IV Of The Code.
